“Vuka” – Xhosa meaning to wake up!!

Vuka Bumps are traffic calming modules that are placed on the centre lines and shoulders in traffic situations where there is a need to reduce speed and control traffic. By passively creating a rumble type effect through the steering wheel of a vehicle it prevents vehicles from cutting over barrier line on sharp bends and helps reduce average vehicle speeds.
